The Town of North Bennington presents Lucky Thirteen, the13th Annual North Bennington Art Park outdoor sculpture exhibition, opening on July 17th from 4 pm. to 8 pm. The Art Park reception is a free event open to the public.
The exhibition includes sculpture , painting and mixed media artwork from local and regional artists invited especially for this show. Our thirteenth North Bennington Art Park is going to be one of the most exceptional and visually exciting art exhibits in New England this summer. The show features contemporary artwork by local artists with national and international reputations. The alphabetical list of artists lending work to the exhibition begins with Pat Adams and ends with Phillip Wofford both of whom are long time residents of our community with outstanding reputations for their contributions in the art world.
The original Art Park began with sculpture by Willard Boepple ,who is exhibiting again this year in company with Mia Westerlund Roosen. Faculty from Bennington College are well represented with artwork by Thorsten Dennerline, Jon Isherwood, Mary Lum, Aysha Peltz, Ann Pibal and Andrew Spence. John Umphlett will participate again with one of his Performances that have been extraordinary in past shows.
There are fifty artists in this 13th exhibition, many of whom have exhibited for nearly every year and others who are invited for the first time. The exhibition is made possible by the Town of North Bennington with cooperation from sponsors David Aldrich, Bennington College, Kevin's Restaurant, McGovern Masonry, Sage City Syndicate, The Fund for North Bennington and Whitman's Feed Store. The Art Park is located on Main St. Rt.67 North Bennington, VT. on the properties surrounding the Post Office and in the Train Station.
